It has been written and distilled by me, Treyeshua. I raised a remarkably happy young family decades ago, and now continue to learn from all the young families around me, here in Utah.

The deepest desire of my heart has been, since my youngest years, to live in a happy family. I achieved that for myself decades ago. Now the deepest desire of my heart is for every family to be a happy family.

Who and Why This Exists
I am Treyeshua Tomeny, and this enterprise reflects the deepest desires of my heart, since childhood.
I grew up in a deeply dysfunctional family. My father was a good man, but addicted to alcohol and tobacco, and my mother was only a bit better. Yet both, now passed on, ended their lives as true saints.
My desire is for every child to have great parents to the extent possible, even if there is only one parent in the home.
My first wife Kari and I were blessed to raise a pretty great young family, as pictured above. We were wholly devoted to our two boys, they were the survivors of five pregnancies, so we never had the big family we planned.
We were the leaders in our then church of a program called Growing Kids God’s Way, which still exists today and has likely helped millions of families over the years.
We were blessed with the financial resources to devote ourselves completely to our family, and we were among the founders of two Christian schools in the Dallas area. For a few years, we got to go to school with our boys every single day.
In 2002, a year or so before the picture was taken, we were surely among the happiest families on the planet. Then our oldest, TJ, became ill with what turned out to be a fatal brain tumor. Please click on the captioned link for much of that story.
In 2005, just when Hurricane Katrina hit my hometown of New Orleans, TJ passed. And that was effectively the end of our marriage and our family. We stayed together for another seven years until Patrick graduated from Legacy Christian Academy and had a very successful first year at Texas A & M, but life was never like it was before TJ passed.
I withdrew from my wife as I began a spiritual and intellectual journey to where I am today. I could not, at the time, comprehend how or why God could take away our perfect son.
Patrick made up for it though, as he too became a perfect son. Please consider watching the video of him giving an impromptu speech as a Senior at Legacy to understand how perfect he is.
But our marriage was shattered, as the trust we had in God and in each other was no longer right.
In 2012, we divorced. The immediate effect was complete devastation for Patrick. I am happy to say that he has come a long way now into recovery.

In 2006, I had done some work on making the internet safer and more secure for all. That was called the Trustednet, and people accessed the Trustednet with a unique picture and gesture technique called Pathword as a single sign on.
That is also when I came up with the idea for Privacy Protected Marketing. At the invitation of Doc Searls, then a well known internet thought leader, I presented the Trustednet, Pathword, and Privacy Protected Marketing at the Internet Identity Workshop in Palo Alto, California. The presentation was adequate for me to get a call from one of the top venture capitalists in the world at the time.
I have presented the Trustednet several more times at the Internet Identity Workshop over the years, and Dr. Phil Windley of BYU, whom I first met in 2006, has become the leader of it. Each time I introduced new innovations that I believed would lead to its eventual adoption.
My vision for the future of all of us depends upon trust. There is a huge difference today between living in high trust places, like Utah, and lower trust places, like California, even though they are in the same country. Utah parents already do a relatively great job of raising children. The evidence is that so many go all around the world to serve missions when they are young adults and that so many are involved in the startup culture, where enterprises prosper as they serve the needs of others.
One of the things I developed along the way is Attention Verification Software, now patent pending. This is a way of having a device interact with you continuously, and measuring that interaction, so that a third party can know you actually did the learning, without skipping or distraction.
Early in 2026, that software was built into a site called Earny Learny, where sponsors can pay kids to learn. It immediately, in its first public disclosure, got an investment of $5,000 from a sponsor whom I had never met before. I continued to develop the concept, and ended up with an online microschool, available today at Verafy Academy.
As I began to market that, I realized that the barrier was, again, trust. As I spoke to many families with young children, they were not ready to bet their children’s education on something so new and different.
So I realized that I needed to go upstream with this effort. To educate young families before they face the crucial decision of how to educate their children.
